My name is Dr. Skip Mark. I am an assistant professor of political science at the University of Rhode Island (URI). I am the Director of the Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies (CNVP) at URI and the co-director of the CIRIGHTS data project.
My research focuses on the ways that human rights, political economy, conflict, and methodology interact.
My work generally explores: protest, repression, human rights, labor rights, child labor, measurement, the International Monetary Fund and other IOs, and the domestic consequences of austerity and neoliberal reform.
